I have to agree. Although Gov. Palin is Republican, she appears to be more like an Independent to me. I’m sure she is still learning and growing, but she really does have the potential to become something that goes beyond Republican or Democrat.

I can’t agree more. I’ve ready man articles and blogs these past few days who make those type of assertions. I as a stupid man take pride that I can let my wife take a vacation with friends and still manage to keep my 1 and 3 year old boys alive and kicking. Thx for the post.

It is the case that there is no firewall between political life and private life. Mrs Obama and Mrs McCain were both subject to investigation and investigation by the media. The GOP went to great length to visit and revisit Mrs Obama’s speeches and remarks as to her “patriotism”. Both parties are deeply interested in personal and family values such as abortion, birth control and sex education and that my friend places Obama, McCain and other governing elites into our bed rooms and homes. They make moral, religious and ethical beliefs law.

You might pass on this tidbit. It needs to be confirmed from a better source, but it should be easy to check: looks like the average woman in Obama's office make $6k less, in McCain's $2.5K more.

I am a conservative Republican who, on several issues, am not happy with McCain. But McCain is a moderate and meeting in the middle is for the best. Obama is an inexperienced liberal, significantly 'left' of most of America. I am also a believer in the balance of power and the thought of either party having the total of the legislative and executive branches concerns me, since neither party has shown competency to govern. Four years of John McCain (and I feel he would, because of his age, limited himself to that) stands a far better chance of getting the divisive politics of today to subside.
